I was so confused and blur when paed told me my gal is having allergy reaction after seeing her with red patches/dots appearing on the skin on and off. It all started when I brought her to see pead realising she had difficulty in breathing one night as she was unable to sleep.

Paed told us she's having nose and probably lung allergy. Symptoms will vary from when she's an infant, a toddler and an adult later. At this stage, she will and is having short of breath after running or overly excited, difficulty in breathing sometimes and frequent of blocked nose as the lung will produce some secretion when the weather is cold / room temperature too low.

This is all the exact symptom my girl is having but also the same as her daddy. Paed said it can be inherited. Then gave her some nose/lung allergy medication. After consumed for the 1 day she developed red patches and itchiness on the whole body! Fine, it's medication allergy. We thought the red patches/spots will fade away after stop the medicine but it was getting worse till she needs to be hospitalized.

She was finally discharged after staying in hospital for 4 days as it was claimed to be developed into bacteria infection. She's still on antibiotic and piriton even till today coz the red patches came out 2 days ago after vanishing for 1 week only. She was brought to had a blood test on Monday and the allergy report will only be ready after 2 weeks. Again, she needs to take medicine for 2 months! She's just a 3 year old girl... what went wrong?? Because of her allergy, the medicine reaction, or the bacteria infection or...

Potential allergan including dust, dust-mite (?), fur of cats, dogs but we don't have any pets at home, food,... Wah! There are plenty how to identify the one???

Lung allergy can be very serious which it can takes life for a toddler.
However, Nose allergy can be controlled if follow some rules that given by paed.

Thus, by reading your post...obviously it appears to be medication allergy.
which it can be very serious.

My ex brother in law was having the same problem since he was a kid.
He have difficulties in breathing, allergy with cold and dusty areas, allergy to cat's fur. and even sometimes to the dirt on the ground.

Now, he's 29. Still the same condition. Thus, he also relying on medication from time to time.

I suggest you to find other paeds for further information.
Listen what other doctors said.

Wish your lil angel all the best.
