You can check the fees according to your location here:
http://www.fairview.edu.my/school-fees-selection.php
In Penang, the fee structure (for age 4):
Application fee - RM500
Enrolment fee - RM500
School fee - RM2,500 per term
Security deposit - equivalent to 1 term school fee
Thus, for a kindergarten aged child, we're looking at RM318/month (11 months only since Dec is their term break).
Classes are from 7.30 am - 1.20 pm
I will check it out one day as I'm interested to see what sort of placement test they have for a 4 year old child LOL |

Hi,
There are 3 terms per academic year & you need to pay the school fees in full according to terms & not months. Thus, the fees will definitely be more than RM500 p/mth.
And Fairview is following British school calendar, where 1st term starts in Spt. I've visited the reception class b4 in KL, HQ & don't really like the open concept teaching & student mixture races. |

Hi Ong,
Thanks for pointing out the fee structure - I have yet to visit them to get a clearer picture.
Anyway, care to explain a bit more on what you mean by:
a) open teaching concept and
b) mixture of races? |

Hi,
Since Fairview is an international school, it accepts all types of students where majority of them are expatriates' children. I do encourage exposure, especially young age kids, but yet to "open" my mind to the extent of letting my girl mingles with different culture background kids.
This is just a personal feel. You should visit the school yourself to judge your own taste. I opted for private school instead after visiting several international & private schools. It makes me feel more "home" & the localised teaching concept meets my expectation. |

I'm too in search for a school for my 3 and hald years old. I came across another one in Sri York (opposite Union Secondary School) - The Learning Garden... I think the concept is from S'pore. Environment is great but fee is :O It is paid on termly basis too... consider to send my girl in for the school holidays' activity to get some exposure.
