    • Anti-Smoking

Today I was in the Honda Service centre cum sales office. There is this nut head salesman smoking in the air condition premises. Smokes fly all over the contain space. There were children waiting in the service centre too. All of us become secondary smokers. I walk into the manager office to relay this problem. He gave me a blank face and didn’t give me a positive response.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate smokers. I just hate smokers that make other people become secondary smokers, which are more dangerous. I have come across many cases where smokers secretly smoke in air condition premises like the shopping mall, the car park and in public transport.

The government is promoting the “Tak Nak” campaign but not enforcing the public sector to follow strict rules about not smoking areas.

If you know me, I will surely feedback this to Honda and the government bureau. Anyone can give me any more ideas where I can bring this complain to? Please leave the contact and email address.

    1. ironically… one of my colleague smokes in front of a really 50ft poster of the Tak Nak campaign and no one seems to care also… sigh!

    2. Yes, should make the complain! I dislike second hand smokes too and kinda sensitive to smoke. Some smokers are just too inconsiderate.

      Fortunately my hubby doesn’t smoke!

    3. me too anti-smoking..but sad to say that my boss is a smoker! He even smoke inside his room, I always say in my mind, if u wanna die,pls go ahead but pls pls dun get us as second hand smoker! What to do? he is the boss, sigh!!
Tak Nak compaign? forget about it la..

    4. it just pisses me off when people don’t adhere to the regulations, especially no smoking. Cos it affects us too. and i can’t stand the tabacco stench.

    5. when I read this my hubby is puffing in the toilet *sigh*… not very helpful.

    6. sometimes I’m so tempted to walk over to the person and just tell him off….but then again, haven’t got guts to do that.

    7. My dad is a very heavy smoker and was was a secondary smoker since I was born till I left the hse for further studies till now. Only once in awhile when I go back, I’ll be the secondary smoker again. What to do? U can stop a heavy smoker from smoking. I hate the smell too..THe other day, I saw the owner of a baby boutique smoking in his new shop. OMG…all the new clothes will be stinking and who the hell wanna go to this kinda shop to but baby products.

    8. What is Tak Nak. i’m in australia – trying to start up an anti-smoking campaign – not for the health of smokers or non-smokers particularly. I hate smoke – it invades personal space. I think blowing smoke in someone’s face is disgusting and needs to be campaigned against.

    9. yerk: Tak Nak is a campaign by the govt that says No No to cigarettes especially the younger generation. By the way, Welcome to mybabybay.

    10. Smoking near children is child abuse.
Smokers who do so are child abusers.

I find the shock/shaming effect of that label quite potent.
