Warming Up
Yesterday I took Timothy to do a little shopping after his school during my lunch time. My colleague wanted to tag along. I picked my son up and he was seated at the back. He was tremendously shy. First he took the newspaper to cover his face. My friend told me he then opened his bag and put his head inside. After that, he moved towards the door and look at the window.
Later when we got to the shopping mall, he started to be very chatty and got acquainted with my friend. It took him a little while to get warmed up. Once he started, he couldn’t stop yakking away. Let’s hope he will take away his shyness and be more sociable.

Well, that’s considered quite a fast warm-up. I’m worried when XY’s too friendly. She even waves to the uncle in the vehicle next to us when we’re in the car. 😐

Many children are shy too. I think it’s rather important to teach our children “public speaking” ya? That’s a course we (a few friends) were thinking to have for our children.

I think not only children, sometimes we adult also need warm up before we can chat with someone new…

I do not see shyness as a problem. Some ppl are extrovert and some are introvert. 😉 However I need to teach Tim and Emily to make friends.

I think it’s quite common for children to be shy in the beginning..
It’s better that way than having them be chatty the 1st moment they met someone.
