FUN WITH HOUSEWORK

  • MyBabyBay

    • As usual, I bought the children to church at 8:30am. Both were angels, no fighting or making noise during the service. When the sermon came on, they both were sent to the nursery to play with other kids. I could hear the interesting sermon today. I learn that we need to do just the one thing, to live for him. All of us in leaving in layers, and when we peel all the layers away, what is left is our soul, which he has saved. All other things do not matter. Opps sorry, hope I am not confusing you here. :sc:

Later in the evening, my MIL called, we had dinner together with PIL, BIL and SIL. After that, I took the children to supermarket to get some fruits and snacks. They had a good time at the toys department store. Playing at every toy there is. Nope, I didn’t take any home. Emily didn’t want to go after I told her we have to go home. I had to carry her away. Even while at the paying counter, she tried to find her way back to the toys department. I had to grab her back.

Today hubby called and chat with the children again. The connection was not very clear, he couldn’t hear me well. I am glad he is enjoying himself there. Hehehe, I just send him a shopping list. Anyone want anything from US? 😆

    • The Sound of Water

      May 7, 2006

I love the sound of moving water. I love it especially when it rain at night. It gives me a peaceful feeling. The other day, I saw a colleague of mine with a new small aquarium. It looks so lovely. It has 2 lovely green plants with a wood like stone and the based is filled with little stones. She placed it on her office desk.

I told my hubby about it and we decided to go shop for an aquarium. My hubby wanted to have an aquarium for a long time. I put it off until my children grew up. I guess now is the right time. We went to Air Hitam Aquarium store. It was fairly big with all kinds of accessories, tanks, fish stuff and fish.

We got a medium size tank with filter and pump, green plants, small stones for the base, wood like stone, a mickey mouse diver, sunken ship and a small oxygen pump. We also bought 10 guppy fish.

After a few days, all the fish died and I thought guppy fish was the easiest to take care. :sc: It must be the water with too much chlorine. My hubby put another cap of anti chlorine. He bought a new batch of fish. So far it has no problem. I can sit and stare at the aquarium and be mesmerized.

    • 8:00am Children woke up and they were playing in the room but I am half awake so I continued sleeping.
9:00am Phone rang, MIL called. I had to answer. 🙁
9:15am Children watching VCD while I prepared food to cook.
9:45am Children have fun with water play in the bathroom. I took out the swimming pool and put it in the bathroom for them to have fun. The weather outside was gloomy and I don’t want them to catch a cold. They were splashing here and there, making bubbles.
10:45am I cooked lunch, ABC soup and pan fried dory fish.
11:30am Lunch. After that they had fruits and 2 scoops of ice-cream. Their facial expression change when they saw the ice-cream.
1:30pm I send them all up to have nap and I joined them later.
3:30pm Both woke up and played in the room.
5:30pm I ordered pizza, cheesy meatballs and deli wings from pizza hut. They love pizza.
6:30pm We went out to play at the garden. I wanted to take them to shopping, but the thought of weekend crowd, rather stay at home.

Emily wanted me to accompany her to sleep. She cried when I walk out of the room. I pat her to sleep and she slept in a few minutes.

    • Today I was working from home, as I always do especially on Friday. During lunch, I picked Emily back for a while, to play with her. As I was doing some stuff, Emily was playing in her play house. Suddenly BOOM. She cried. I went to her, saw her hands got blood. Her eye lid was cut, not sure what cut her. Just like little skywalker, a little bit more can cause blindness. I took some tissue and tried to put pressure on the wound to stop her from bleeding. She was still crying and pushing my hands away. After about 1 min, bleeding stop, she doesn’t allowed me to dress her wound. She only allowed Winnie the Pooh plaster, which I put on. Later her nanny, put some Chinese medicine on her wounds. She looks good, let’s hope no permanent scar.

In the evening, I took the children to indoor playground. They have fun there. The rides are free. Daddy called in the evening to chat with the children. Today the children stayed up way passed their bedtime. I guess they can sleep in with mummy tomorrow.

    • Yesterday I asked Emily where is papa, she said kai kai. I ask Timothy, he said in US. Not sure whether he understands. Today I asked Emily again, she said papa in US. This morning, Timothy asked for papa. I guess he must miss papa some how.

I played with them today and make them giggle before bedtime. Timothy was telling me what he does in school.

Yesterday, I realized that I kept all my soft toys in the store room. I took out some for them to play. Now they are crazy over Winnie the Pooh and Tiggr. I have a small collection from McD. Emily was hugging everyone of it.

    • Cry

      May 4, 2006

Both my children have different expression when crying

      Emily:

She will move her mouth downwards. In Cantonese, it is called “been chui”. Then she makes crying sound or sometimes yelling. Later her tears will flow out. She will put her fingers into the mouth. She will then roll on the floor. If you try to pick her up, she will struggle to get away. For a little gal, she has strength like a bull. If you leave her alone for a while like 1-2 min, later go saying her, she will stop.

      Timothy:

He will move his eyebrow like a china man look with two of them pointing at the nose. Then his tears will flow and sound will come. He will start rubbing his eyes with both of his hands. At one time, he rubbed so hard that the skin near the eye went red and bruise a little. He will find mummy and put his head on mummy so that I can sayang him. He will stop once I sayang him.

8:45pm: Make milk for the children. They drink milk while watching Winnie the Pooh. Unpack all the shopping stuff. I realized I overstock toilet rolls. Aunty and friends rang up to check on me. Hey today is the first day and everything went very well.

    • As we were going pass the cosmetics department, Tim said “Mummy see, color the face one.” Seriously I don’t know how he got that idea. 😆

    • Fright

      April 30, 2006

Yesterday, I took the children shopping. After returning, I send them to bed because it was late. They both went to sleep. I went downstairs and continue working until 1a.m. I went up to my bedroom. Usually I will on the stairs light and open the bedroom door and check that the children are sleeping properly, before I switch off the light to go to bed.

By the way, this is not a ghost story. 😛 When I went into the room, I saw hubby and Timothy sleeping. Emily was missing. She was not on the bed and no where to be found. No, she was not underneath any blanket. It gave me a fright. I looked outside other rooms, not there. Where could she be? I switch on the room dimmer lights, which I can adjust the brightness, so that I don’t wake Tim and my hubby up. I couldn’t find her.

Later I heard some sound coming beneath the bed. She was sleeping under the bed. I don’t know how she could crawl as I had pillow covering the hole and the height of the bed is low. I slowly help her out. She wasn’t crying at all and after she came out, she just continued sleeping. :sc: There was no bum on her head. What a fright! 😯
