    • Stop At 2.

      July 15, 2005

10 reasons why I am stopping at 2.

      10. 2 is just nice, 3 is a crowd, 4 is far too many. I wanted 6,
           when I was young.

       9. I can include whole family for travel. Air tickets are not
           cheap.

       8. When they fight, daddy can hold 1 and mummy can hold
           the other.

       7. Financially, I can support 2 and give the best to them.

       6. Looking at the world situation, if anything happens, I can
           still protect 2.

       5. The car can fit only 2, one at each corner.

       4. Medical Expenses increases every year.

       3. Imagine doing confinement for all your children????

       2. I want to tutor both of them in their school work,
rather than to send them to tuition centre.

       1. The family have equality & balance – 2 males
& 2 females. No gender issues.

I sure miss being pregnant though!!!!

    • Sponsor A Child

      July 14, 2005

Sponsor a child. You get tax exemption for it. Start giving to the needy rather than those who squander your hard earn money.

I am sponsoring a child in India. She is from a poor and abuse family background. I don’t get any tax exemption becuase the organisation is not part of the IRB program. Anyway, I am happy to sponsor her in her daily living and education.

      Here are a few options:

      Women Aid Org

      Red Cross

      World Vision

LUKE 18:22 So when Jesus heard these things, He said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” (NKJV)

    • I am a GIRL

      July 14, 2005

      I am a GIRL.

Ah Yi: Is he a boy?
Mom: No she is a girl.

Ah Yi: Look like a boy.
Mom: She is wearing a dress.

Ah Yi: Boy boy, you so cute.
Mom: Hello, she is a gal. *geram and walk away with baby*

I am definitely a girl, cute, pretty and chubby. Do I look like a boy to you? If yes, maybe you need LASIK or cataract operation. Opps sorry….hehehehe

Jasmine told me that there is a myth that said if someone tells you your baby looks like a boy, your next baby will be a boy. If your baby looks like a girl, your next baby is a girl.

Do I look like a girl or boy?

    • Walk

      July 12, 2005

My gal achieved another milestone. Finally my gal knows how to walk without support. She was cruising at the living room. She started walking when she was 10 months. She will go from chair to table to chair to table. Comes 1 year, she will walk 1 step and crawl the rest. Last month she was walking 3 steps and crawl.

I had to dig out her brother old shoes and let her wear when we go out. I bought her a red shoe and now her feet grew out of it. Sigh, she outgrew a lot of things. When it comes to shoe, you can’t really get an extra big size. It doesn’t work that way. The shoe will fall off as she walks. If the shoe is too tight, the feet will not developed well. The size must be just right. Fortunately I kept most of her brother’s old shoes that will fit her.

I am so proud of her. YEHAAA. I guess mummy is happier than she is. Now I am wondering when she can go shopping with mummy.

    • Kids Fun Time

      July 9, 2005

My church had an event called Kids Fun Time for children of all ages. I took my kids there to have fun. There were about more than 100 children turn up. It started with registration, singing, telematch and fun stalls. It cost nothing. It is all fun for kids. At the fun stalls, kids can play the stall games and get stickers. From the stickers, they can exchange for gifts.

My son was having lots of fun. He did his best at the stall where he threw coins into a bucket of water, with a cup underneath. If the coin enters the glass, he will get a sticker. Does a three year old know how to aim? Of coz not, he just fling the coin. The coin just sink down and somehow it fall right into the cup. He did it a few times and out of 5 coins, 2 will go in. Ever stall, there is a queue, and children have to wait for their turn. Mummy did all the queuing and he played.

At one stall, children are supposed to throw ping pong balls into the yogurt cups. When it came to my son’s turn, he wanted to keep the balls for himself. He didn’t want to throw. After much persuasion, he finally threw. None of them went in.

There were also bowling, golf, shooting, fishing, brain killer puzzle solving and a whole lot more.

Oh where is dad? Dad was the photographer. Here is some of his shots:

      Singing Session:

      Telematch:

      This is how you aim…

      Shoot…

      Brain Teaser Stall:

Tim throwing the coin in to the bucket. Did you see that? It went right in…

      Emily entertaining the fish.

Tim picking his gift from the points he collected.

      Tim enjoying his gift, yummyyyy…

That’s all folks! Come back, next time.

    • Height

      July 6, 2005

Height runs in my family, not me but my husband, son and daughter. My son who is 3 years old, he is already more than half my height. My gal, she is almost half my height. Next time I will be looking up to three of them, poor me.

I bought a height chart when my son was born. I keep track of their height once in a while. I like it because it is a picture of a giraffe which I think 2 of them will be little giraffes as they grow up.

I have left side for Tim and right side for Emily. From this chart, you can tell that I am stopping at 2. 2 is enough. 3 is a crowd. 4 is too many to handle.

I wonder will there be any NBA players in my family. Who knows?

My son can sit very quietly to watch Barney and now he sings with him. I just don’t understand how some mums can hate the purple & green dino?

He never get bored no matter how many times he watches it. He can watch it over and over and over and over….. He has watched Toy Story like a 100 times. He even remember when every moves and actions. Whenever BuzzLightYear fly, he will prepare himself on the sofa and make a dive.

Anyway, mum can have peace when he is watching his VCD. Yeah yeah yeah too much TV is no good.

    • Childhood Games

      June 27, 2005

Ever play this game before. I love to play this game when I was very young in primary school.

You list down 5 of your secret admirers, 5 places of liking, your 5 preferred age of marriage and how many kids you would want to have. Lastly, you put your favorite number or you can sign in the middle, and estimate how many strokes. You start counting from the RICH, strike it off when it reaches the number. Start counting again. Each category will have at least one not strike off. When you strike RICH, you automatically have POOR and when you strike SAD, you have HAPPY. Here is an example:

The prediction here: you will marry Keanu Reeves at age 29, honey moon in Canada. You will have 2 kids. Poor but happy.

      Other childhood games I played:

      Five stone
High jump using chain of rubber band
      Bottle caps
      Hop Scotch
      Tai Chi in badminton court
      BINGO
      Marbles
      Happy Family Cards
      Snap
      Tortoise Card Game
      Fishing Card Game
      Etc..

    • Imaginary Friends

      June 25, 2005

I am not a phone person. I cannot speak on the phone for too long. I love short and sweet conversations. However my children turn out to be different. They love taking to imaginary friends on the phone. They can chat non stop. I don’t really know what they are babbling about. It is really interesting because they also speak with body language.

Son when he was 1+ year:
      PhoneT.wmv

      Gal, today, also 1+ year:
      PhoneE.wmv

There goes my phone bill in the future…..sigh.
