    • Fever Chain

      October 4, 2005

First it started with Emily. She was having fever last Wednesday. My babysitter caught her shivering. She called my office number and spoke to me in hokkien. Fortunately I still can undertstand her bit on the fever part, the rest is bla bla bla. I called my hubby, he is away from his desk. I got one of his colleague’s numbers and call him to help locate my hubby. Remember to always keep your hubby’s colleague’s number for emergency. He located him.

We were very worried because we were afraid of the Dengue spread in Penang. Anyway, we told her to our usual paed. By the way, my hubby’s office, my office, my paed’s clinic, house and babysitter are all within range. Another plus point, of staying in Penang. Paed ruled out Dengue because her fever is not high enough and no rash. It could be the MMR and her sore throat. We need to monitor her.

On Thursday night, I was on high fever and pop down 1 panadol. I dislike taking medicine unless it is necessary. Friday woke up, fever gone. Work for half day and then fever came back. I went to the doctor, she also rule out Dengue coz fever not that high and no rash. I got a MC till end of the day. Funny until today, I still don’t know the cause of the fever.

Today, my son is having fever. I am working at home to babysit him. I could not take leave as I have a couple of meetings that I need to attend. Fortunately I do not have to be on site for those meetings. My son is having a good time because he is away from school and gets to do what he wants to do at home. I am pampering him since he is sick.

Emily & I have fully recovered. Ok no more fever spreading in the family..….

    • FOOD

      October 1, 2005

      Tada……

If you said FOOD, you’re spot on!! My little “wai sek mui” (in Cantonese) always want a piece of anything you are eating, be eat chilli hot or sour. She will follow mummy and called out “mum mum” rather than mummy or ma ma. I have no problem feeding her, everything she also wallops. Unlike the brother, a little picky on his food. When she sees food, her face lit up like the previous picture.

    • My Precious Barbie

      August 15, 2005

When I was young, my parents could not afford any Barbie dolls. I never played one before. Now at the toy store, it is selling like hot cakes. I mean it is so expensive but yet parents do buy for their kids to play. One set of Barbie clothes can sell for RM40-100. Wow, I can buy actual clothes for myself.

Anyway, I have Ken & Barbie which is priceless. Ken is my Tim and Barbie is my Emily. Hahaha… I can buy them real clothes to dress them up.

Gals have more choices of accessories, dress, shoes and pretty things to buy. I bought 2 pairs of clips for my gal. She didn’t like it, keep pulling it away from her hair. Soon she will get used to it.

I just cannot resist buying pretty things for her. Wow I am going to dress her up as a Princess. Fortunately I have only one gal, else I go bankrupt.

    • Height

      July 6, 2005

Height runs in my family, not me but my husband, son and daughter. My son who is 3 years old, he is already more than half my height. My gal, she is almost half my height. Next time I will be looking up to three of them, poor me.

I bought a height chart when my son was born. I keep track of their height once in a while. I like it because it is a picture of a giraffe which I think 2 of them will be little giraffes as they grow up.

I have left side for Tim and right side for Emily. From this chart, you can tell that I am stopping at 2. 2 is enough. 3 is a crowd. 4 is too many to handle.

I wonder will there be any NBA players in my family. Who knows?

    • Long Long Weekend

      June 7, 2005

We just got back from a trip to KL, bringing my kids to see por por, kong kong and do some shopping. Wow, it is tiring. Just the packing and unpacking tired my husband and I. How did we stuff all the things into the car? Amazingly we did.

I was staying in Cititel MidValley, it is pretty convenient. Just go down from the hotel, you get shops, food and practically everything. I took my children for a train ride to KLCC and they love it.

I also met up with some of the super moms, chatted and sharing mom’s experiences. It was a very fruitful trip. I need to plan for another vacation, soon.

Towards the end of the journey back from KL, Emily refused to be strap on to the carseat and Tim threw up. Luckily I have a plastic bag with me.

      Tim and his friends.

Emily thots: “Now why am I driving all these weird creatures??”

      Tim thots: “All mine…All mine”

My son took a small heart shape box and put his toys in the box. He will show mummy and say “Pizza Hearts”.

As for my gal, she has a toy phone pass down from kor kor (big brother). When mummy said “Hello Hello Emily”, she will put the phone receiver behind her ear. How cute.
