    • 5 Wishes For My Children

      March 10, 2007

It is getting a trend now, that I get a TAG every Friday night. *shivers*. If it is a reasonable tag like this one, I am happy to do it. Yes and Zara’s mama tag me on this. I never really thought about it but there are a few on top of my mind.

      1. That they will honor God and accept the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior. So that I will be able to meet them in heaven. I think after they have done this one, God will take care of the following wishes.
      2. That they will be healthy.
      3. That they will at least get themselves into University.
      4. That they will NOT put me in some old folks’ home when I grow old. *hint*
      5. That they will be happy & contended in whatever they decide or choose to do. Always come to us, the parents for advice and willing to share everything with us.

    • While I was away in my previous business trip, my hubby had fun with the children. He worked with the children and taught them to do housework. They find it fun and all excited with it. Someone asked me how I can manage 2 without a maid. Oh well, just get the 2 of them to share the load. :giggles: Thank God for giving both lovely children to me.

    • When we were traveling back from KL during CNY, we had a minor car accident. We were at Tapah, refilling our petrol tank. It was also when my husband took over. :giggles: A Mercedes car, he was not looking reversing and hit our bumper. I am not sure why my husband didn’t honk him. If I was in the driver seat, I will. Anyway, he got out and we got out to take a look at the damage done. My car bumper was scratched and slightly dented. His Mercedes was scratched too but who cares.

A negotiation took place. My hubby wanted to settle on the spot but we don’t know how much the damage costs. The driver kept very quiet but his friend or brother, whoever, did the negotiation. At first he gave us his contact details, later he wanted to pay us off. I said RM250, he said RM150. My hubby saw his details and saw that he was a Datuk. Aiyah, Datuk also cannot pay RM250. The driver another kind, reverse without looking. Bang my car never mind, what if he knocks someone down. I was surprised that his precious Mercedes didn’t have any reverse sensor. It is P** 8. I said we fixed it and give him the bill. He doesn’t trust our workshop. I asked him to recommend his and we will fix it with his recommended workshop. Finally he agreed to pay us RM200 and took away the details. We didn’t want any hassle, so we agreed. Vien said he should pay for frightening my children, as the bang was quite loud. :giggles: We didn’t think of that.

After the incident, Timothy always tell his dad, “Papa, drive carefully yeah, don’t crash the car” :giggles:

    • Butt Show

      March 4, 2007

Today, my residential taman had a Chap Goh Mei party at the open field. There were lion dance and some children dance performance. My hubby wanted to bring the children to see the lion dance. Along we went. When we reached there, was 30 minutes early, all the chairs were taken because families book chairs for their friends and relatives. After a while, we could gather some free chairs and sat waiting for the performance. They were 30 minutes late. That is not the worst part.

It started with a presentation of the lion dance drum performance. A boy age 5 year old was playing the big drum. He was fantastic and full of energy. Later the lion dance started. My children were happy too see it. After the lion dance performance, a whole bunch of pathetic, inconsiderate & selfish people decided to stand in front of the stage blocking people at the back. The host announced a couple of times to instruct them to sit down so that everyone can see the performance. They sat down but when the performance started, they did it again. It was useless, we were block and all we could see is people’s butt. We decided to head home and were disappointed.

    • Hot Argument

      March 3, 2007

While I was at the bank depositing my children’s angpow money, 2 people created a heated scene. Yes, the money is safer in the bank than in my house. There was a heated argument between the bank officer and a lady customer. I was standing 2 counters away from them. Anyway, their voices were so loud that every single soul in the bank can hear them.

Bank Officer: You want to pay or not?
      Lady: I want to pay.
Bank Officer: What do you want to pay?
      Lady: Pay all.
      Bank Officer: Not enough cash.
Lady: I want to pay for my car loan.
Bank Officer: Just now you said pay all.
Lady: I want to pay for my car loan. *furious*
Bank Officer: You want to pay or not? *shouting – beh syiok*
Lady: Is this the way you treat your customer? I am your customer, why you are shouting at me? *shouting*
Bank Officer: When I asked you what you want to pay, you said you pay all. Now you said you want to pay for car loan. You don’t know what you want. *everyone is looking*
Bank Manager: *approaching bank officer whispering something to bank officer*
Lady: Is this how the bank treats your customer, you watch out?
Bank Officer: Ohh, you going to beat me up?
      Lady: You just watch out.

Bank officer still repeating himself loudly, probably want to get attention from the crowd and complete the transaction. Lady was furious, took the receipt and storm out, face all red. The boyfriend (*my assumption*) was cool as if nothing happen.

If I was the bank manager, I probably ask the bank officer to take a 5 minute break and service the lady. It is better solution than to have everyone looking at the heated argument. It must be the hot weather that makes them heat up.

By the way, the bank officer served me before, when I wanted to deposit a cheque to my gal’s account. He asked me why I don’t use the ATM machines. I told him, the account has no ATM card. I asked him for angpow packets, he said all finished. However, I smile I told him that I saw him giving another old lady more than 5 packets of angpow. Later then he gave me a few packets. He really has a weird attitude.

    • Today I registered my son Tim for primary school. It was a breeze. It is opened for children born in year 2001 and 2002. The clerk took the birth cert and the copy. She chopped it to certify Tim had registered to the school. It also means that we cannot register Tim for other schools. She also asked us some personal details. I was wondering why she asked our income. Maybe the school wants to see which children needs books or food sponsorship especially for lower income group.

Anyway, the registration took 10 minutes and we were out of there. We have to go back in Jan 2008 to complete the registration. My first parenting experience in primary school registration, mark another parenting milestone. :giggles:

If your child is born in the year 2001 and 2002, start registering him/her.

    • Balloon Sculpture

      February 28, 2007

Long time ago, I admired clowns who can make balloon sculpture. Now clowns are not the only one who can do balloon sculpture. I picked up this hobby when I found a book on how to do it. Now I am kind of an expert in it. It is very easy. You just need to be brave and not afraid of bursting balloons.

My children love those balloons sculpture. Most children love it. It can be used for party time. If your kids want to fight, create some balloon swords, they can fight all they want without physical injuries. :giggles:

Materials required are balloons, a good pump and a pair of hands. It is really fun, you can try it. Here is a gallery of patterns you can follow: http://www.professorwonder.com/gallery.htm and http://www.mbd2.com/kidsstuff.htm

Basically I love to do things with my hands like origami, beading, balloon sculpture, cards making, 3D deco and paper cutting.

    • It has been a long time since I got a tag. I am not a tag person. Today must be a lucky day (although I don’t believe in luck), I received 2 different tag from Joyce and Shooi.

      1) Who is the first blogger you’ve met?
If my memory serves me right, I believe Jazzmint was the first blogger I met. However blog was not the first Internet wave I had. Before I was into IRC meet, Forum meet and Chat meet. It was the MeadJohnson forum that I got to know a lot of mothers, some started to blog and some started MSN chat. I even started my own mybabybay forum, feel free to join.

      2) Who is the ‘Most wanted to meet blogger?’ for you?
The most wanted to meet is not a blogger, sorry. I love to meet all the children that the bloggers blog about. :giggles:

      3) Who is the ‘I can meet, want to meet but somehow never got to meet’ blogger?
      *same answer as #2*

      4) Who are the group of bloggers you most wanted to meet?
Everyone that I have not met.

      5) Do you have any bloggers/blog readers that you wish to meet right now?
Ok ok ok…I love to meet you whoever is reading now. 😀 Ask lah who I have met. I met Jazzmint, Mariah, Agnes, Vien, Jefferene, DomesticGoddess, Sasha, Rachel, Duck&FrogTales and Joyce.

      🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

      5 reasons:

      1) I started a blog because I wanted to learn about the IT technology and tools behind blogs, forums and chat. I am in the IT line so I need to stay on top of technology.

      2) Mostly I want to keep a parenting journal for my children, so that they can read about it when they grow up.

      3) I want to build a network of mothers and share our joy and experiences.

      4) I want to share information.

      5) I want to learn from your experiences too and become a better mother.

Sorry to kill your time. However I will not tag anyone, feel free if you like to do the above, consider yourself tag.
