    • Sweet Call

      January 10, 2008

Travelling for me can be fun but tiring. Imagine, I have to work on 2 time zones before emails get piling up. Anyway, the only thing that I most look forward to (besides shopping) is calling my children. I love hearing their sweet voices.

I can either call them at 4pm (Penang 8am) or 3am (Penang 7pm). However I don’t like talking to them in the office because I cannot make funny sound in the office. It was fun talking to them. I did call them just now at 3pm in the office. It just makes my day.

      Mummy: Did you miss mummy?
Tim: Yes. I want 2 transformers, the blue and the red one.
Mummy: Did you talk to your teacher.
Tim: Yes, softly. You got buy the transformers or not?
Mummy: I will. Have you been a good boy?
      Tim: Yes.
Mummy: Did you fight with Emily?
      Tim: No.
      Mummy: You want jelly beans?
      Tim: Yes.
      Mummy: How many?
      Tim: 10. *that’s easy*
Mummy: Ask Emily whether she wants any? *Emily just woken and doesn’t want to talk on the phone*
Tim: Emily, mummy asked you, you want jelly bean.
      Emily: Yes.
      Tim: How many?
      Emily: One.
      Tim: One only.
Mummy: Ask Emily to talk to mummy.
Emily: Mummy I want 1 jelly bean. *mood changes when it comes to sweets*
      Mummy: I buy you 10.
Emily: I want Doremon and …and…and…
Mummy: I saw Cinderella, Snow White, Jasmine…
Emily: I want Cinderella. *change mind*
Emily: No no no…I want Snow White. *change mind again*
      Mummy: Did you miss mummy?
      Emily: Yes.
Mummy: Have you been a good girl?
      Emily: Yes.

A lengthy conversation, coming from 2 children who seldom talk on the phone. I sure miss them very much. I cannot wait to go back and see them.

    • Garden View Lunch

      January 9, 2008

Look what my hubby did while I am away. He sure has a lot of creativity when it comes to dealing with children. I must say that I have full confident in leaving my 2 children with him.

He cooked pasta for them and gave the children a garden view lunch. It is cool because he didn’t have to clean the floor if the children make a mess. One reason why I like to have meals outdoor.

Let’s hope Tim & Em don’t bully him while I am gone.

      January 7, 2008

Mummy: I will try to get for you.
Timothy: I want the orange truck turn into a robot
      Mummy: If there is one.
      Timothy: I want 2.
Mummy: Why you need 2? 1 enough!
Timothy: I need 2 so that they can fight each other.
Mummy: But transformer can fight with your Ultraman.
Timothy: Cannot, not the same kind.
      Mummy: *speechless*
      Dad: Toys again!

    • Thumbs Up For Emily

      January 3, 2008

She made it to her first day of school without any tears. She woke up early in the morning, we brushed teeth and wash up together. As I was changing her uniform, she said she wants to go to aunty (babysitter) house. I can feel a little anxiety in her. However I distracted her with happy thoughts.

She was happy when my FIL came with his small car (like Mr. Bean) to fetch her and Tim up. Both of them sat in my FIL’s car. My hubby and I drove a separate car. We went for breakfast together.

I took Emily to the class. The school teachers were smart as they put some educational toys on the desk for the children to play. Emily wanted me to sit next to her but I told her I have to go to work. She wave goodbye to me and continue to play.

At noon, I asked her how was school, she giggles and asked me to buy papaya for her. I am so proud of her and hope she will keep it up. She does have good and bad days.

    • Back To School

      January 1, 2008

Tomorrow will be the first day of school for Emily again. Yes again. Why again? I did send her to school when she was 2+ but due to her constant sickness (fever and runny nose). The preschool was small and had lots of children. Every day 1 or 2 child is sick. I decided to defer. Now she is ready.

She will be joining her brother in the new Tadika, half day school. My hubby and I prepared her for school. We took her to buy her favorite bag, her white school, socks, pencil case and color pencils. She got all excited and now everyday she been asking when will school start.

Last year, we took her to the Tim’s Tadika for parents’ teachers’ day. She went into the computer class and she likes the class. She also liked the school principal who is my church friend. The Tadika is run on church ground with fewer children. It has plenty of space for activities. It has a hall for assembly too.

      Emily: Mummy today school day?
      Mummy: No next Thursday
Emily: Mummy I want to go to school with kor kor and bring my Cinderella bag.
      Mummy: Ok
Emily: Where is my school uniform?
Mummy: Later I iron the school uniform for you.
      Emily: 😀

Tell me, are they growing up fast? It was like yesterday I gave birth to her and now she is preparing herself to school. Sigh.

    • My children was looking forward to this day because they finally can unwrapped the presents. I love the look on their face when they saw what they get. The moment is priceless to me, seeing their happy face.

Timothy got a set of 8 Ultramans plus a few airplanes that come with a noisy launcher. Emily got her doll and her favorite stroller. She has been taking care of the baby doll since.

Hey I got a present too! I was surprised because we don’t give each other presents during Christmas except for the children. Another surprising thing is that my husband pays attention to my needs. I got an ionic hair dryer. The old one was about to break.

Hubby got a photography book for his birthday as his birthday falls on Christmas Eve. It is also his Christmas present.

      Priceless moments here:

    • Bukit Merah Fun

      December 19, 2007

It was all fun for the children in Bukit Merah and a time of relaxing for me & hubby. No work, no email, no Internet and no blogging. We stayed in a nice apartment that only cost RM59, cheap deal eh? It also has a very huge swimming pool. One set back about the pool is that there are no rules and you see lots of people swimming without wearing proper swim wear. Yes there are people swimming with “tudung”. :wall:

Let me start with an interpretation of Tim’s second drawing. Tim & Emily had lots of fun in the water park. Emily enjoyed the water slide down. There is a ship with canon of water shooting out and Tim enjoyed fighting against it. He also fought with the waves. The bottle that he is holding in the picture is sun block, to protect his skin. The 2 round circles are big floats we rent to sail across the water.

What else is there in Bukit Merah? A boat ride to visit the Orang Utan island, Ecopark and a nice scenery. At night, you can head to the arcade center to play some arcade games.

Lastly, I thought I can escape from blogging but it just hunts me down. Yes at 8:30pm, I turned on the TV, I saw Kenny Sia on air playing Deal or No Deal. He really entertained us well not only in his blog but also live on air. First he opened all the big money. If you know the game well, that is not how it is played. I think he got the lowest offer in history from the banker if I am not wrong. The banker offers him RM50 at one moment. The rest you don’t want to know, watch it for yourself. He took home RM100.

    • Short Vacation

      December 17, 2007

I was away for a short vacation and just got back today. Tim will share with you where we went to. Opps, if you cannot figure it out, place your notebook on the mirror. Or the other way around. How did he do that? He was copying his T-Shirt!

I will upload more pictures later. Let me clear my email first, that’s the downside after a vacation.

    • Signal All The Way

      December 15, 2007

Everywhere I go, I have signal. You want to know why? That’s because I have 2 yellow man following me. Yes, it is handphone signal I am talking about. Look!

Oh, the only place I do not have signal is when I am at work. Yeah, my company do not allow non-employee to enter. Once my hubby had to drop me at the guard house because my son was in the car. It is so different compare to other sites. I have seen a father bringing her gal into the office in US. Anyway, I wished to take my children in to where I work some day. Maybe family day!
