    • Tim & Emily were pretty excited to meet up with the rest of the new friends. Let me tell you some stories about this meet up.

*Spot the parents in the mirror if you can*

Destiny, she is a party gal, dress for the occasion and she gave out party packs for everyone. How cool to have a party gal like her.

Jeriel, I wish my children can eat green vegetables like he does. I saw him from far, eating his green vege. He will grow up to be a strong and healthy boy.

Zara is kind of a cool and would not let me take Zaria home. She is a protective sister.

Zaria can sleep with the amount of noise we are making, hardly see her cry.

Faythe loves to go to the mirror at the Japanese place and look at herself closely.

Vyktore is a charmer, he goes to every table and charm all the gals that we do not know. Imagine, all the gals took out camera to snap a picture of him.

Ivan, he got a very hip hairstyle with a little tail behind.

I had a very exhausted day and I am sure all the children did too. We started having fun at kidsport. Emily went through many rounds of the sliding down the big huge slides. First accompany by me and the rest she was on her own. Timothy, as usual loves to dive down the pool of balls.

Tracy, thanks for the lovely gift, you shouldn’t have. My children loves the bag so much, every where they go, they carried it for that day onwards. I just hope I have more time to chat with you mums, I didn’t catch up with Jazz and Chanel. Next time we lunch at a place where they have bigger tables.

    • Sunday Surprise

      July 9, 2007

I woke up from my nap and my hubby told me that there is a bunch of rambutan outside my porch. Today wasn’t even my birthday and I got a yummy surprise. My hubby called his dad to ask whether he bought it for us. It wasn’t him. We checked with our neighbors and it wasn’t them. Now who left it there? My hubby and I thought maybe someone left it at the wrong house.

Rambutan is in season and infact most fruits are in season this month. Yesterday, I was thinking of getting a bunch myself but I changed my mind. I guess someone read my mind today. Anyway, thank you to whoever you are, the delicious red fiery rambutan was great. By the way, I love receiving unexpected gifts. Two weeks ago, my US manager came to Penang and he never tasted rambutan before. How unfortunate and so much he is missing on. I had to bring him to Jusco and see what it was. One kind soul, the sale person cut the rambutan and mangosteen for him to try. He likes it. Next I offered him durian but he decline. :giggles: He and his manager were not very adventurous. It took him so long to eat the little red octopus and unagi from the Japaneses Restaurant.

    • Anniversary Dinner

      July 3, 2007

I took my children to our 7th wedding anniversary dinner. My hubby and I thought of having a quiet and romantic dinner together. We went to the Victoria Station in Penang. However the children were pretty noisy. I mean they talk non stop in aloud voice, I had to silence them a couple of times. Fortunately there was another family who was there who also had 2 children. If there were couples around, we will be embarrass

Imagine if there were couples there having their romantic dinner, you hear “Mummy I want the train to move”, “Mummy why aren’t the train moving”, “Mummy where is the train going?”, “Mummy, what is this?” Fortunately the banana split came in time to keep them quiet done for a little while.

I had my favorite escargots, the little French snails. Timothy likes it too.

Timothy: Where is the snail head?
      Mummy: In your tummy.
Timothy: *disbelieve* No mummy, where is the snail head?
      Mummy: You ate the head.
Timothy: *just cannot accept it* No mummy, you ate the head.

The food was alright but the environment is certainly romantic. After the meal, I took my children to the train head and they wanted to move the train. They were not very successful with it. :giggles:

    • Today is my wedding anniversary. Wow time passed really fast as I am reaching wool/copper anniversary. Ha! In no time my hubby and I will be reaching diamond, if we can survive that long. It has been great to have married for so long.

It was a very hectic weekend for us, so we decided to have a quiet dinner on Monday. I hope it will be quiet as we will be bringing along the children. We always make it a point to have them around with major celebrations. I hope they remember this so that when we are old, they will have us in their major celebrations too. Yes, it is a BIG hint to them. :giggles:

      Happy 7th Anniversary To Us!!!

    • Father’s Day

      June 16, 2007

We went to Kampachi Japanese Buffet at the Hotel Equatorial Penang for Father’s Day celebration. They have lunch buffet with all kinds of Japanese dishes, sashimi, sukiyaki and sushi. However they didn’t have my son’s favorite Edamame beans.

Overall, I still think that it has lack of variety. If you been there once or twice, it is all the same. Verdict, I will not go back there again for the amount of money I am paying. Hehehe…today’s lunch is complimentary.

Emily wasn’t feeling well, she had fever. After taking medicine, she didn’t have fever during lunch. However she didn’t eat much. Fortunately hers was also complimentary. I persuaded the supervisor to give Tim a complimentary lunch as well.

After that we strolled around the hotel and look at the Penang view. We took some pictures too.

Happy Father’s Day To All The Fathers!!

    • Emily and I celebrated our birthday at a Christian Camp. It is one of the reasons why I rushed back from UK. Before I went, I asked my hubby to order the cake. I reminded him a few times, afraid he will forget. I knew something funny will happen. Guess what?

Since we are celebrating Emily birthday with a crowd of 90 people, he ordered a 3kg cake. The cake was huge. My jaw dropped when the bakery man carried the cake out. It is about 3 feet by 1 foot. The first thing that came to my mind was how we are going to transport it over to the camp in Taiping. Fortunately, we manage to get some space in the car boot. We were also afraid that it will melt, but it didn’t. Look at the picture below.

Emily were all excited, keep asking me about the “Thomas Train” cake. I guess she never seen such a huge cake before. Through out the entire camp, she has been asking me about the cake. Sad to say, we could only finish half of the cake.

Thank you all for your birthday wishes.

Emily: Come Come, let me show you how I eat fish. (Her favourite words: “come come”)

    • Hubby wants to get away for a scuba dive, he is a license scuba diver and was very much into it before we have children. I guess he was deprived of it because he is helping me to take care of the children. He was just telling me that his dive partners have similar problems, their wife is going to pop soon.

Anyway, you know I lost the camera in Scotland, so he didn’t have any camera for his scuba trip. He didn’t show his disappointment but I thought I made it up to him. I told him I wanted to get a new camera and I do need it for my blog. I have to hold off Emily’s birthday post because I had to wait for my friend to send those pictures to me.

It was last Tuesday, I think I told him that I want to get a camera and did some surfing to see which one is latest and within my budget. He did the same and finally came up with Canon Powershot A570 IS because of the Aperture, Shutter Priority and true optical image stabilization. All are so foreign to me. Preview here. We kind of like Canon brand because of its technology. By the way, the shop told me that Canon and Nikon is the most popular brand.

Thursday, we went to survey the price. We had contacts of 2 shops that we know will give us a good deal. We also tested the camera. One important thing was we need to get the underwater casing as well. If not, it defeats the purpose. The first shop gave us a price which is RM40 higher for the camera and RM20 lower for the casing. He also gave us a 1G memory stick free. Too bad, he couldn’t get us the casing in time.

Friday, hubby called the other shop and negotiated with them, the lady owner was grumbling but she gave us the exact same deal the other shop offered. We picked up the camera with the casing and my hubby is a happy man. It was an early Happy Father’s Day present for him. By the way, the cost of the camera and housing is the same cost that my hubby paid for Canon A80 a few years ago. Camera is getting cheaper.

Why such a hurry? My hubby went to scuba diving today in Pulau Payar. Here are the lovely pictures:

    • Picnic Day

      March 17, 2007

I had a very exhausted day today. My church Sunday School held a picnic day for the children. We had a big crowd with the parents joining in to have the fun. It is great to see the whole families having fun together. We had 2 big buses going up to Batu Ferringhi Christian Convention Center by the beach.

We had a fun packed program with telematches, water balloon tossing, sand castle competition, short movie with popcorn and pizza making. My children enjoy the sand castle, as they can play sand. Everyone enjoys themselves. When we got back, the children were tired and snoozing.

    • Timothy is 5 years old today, officially tonight since he was an evening baby. He requested for a “Swimming Pool” cake for a very long time, a year I think. Every time someone’s birthday comes, he will ask me to get him a “swimming pool” cake. It is not exactly a swimming pool but a cake with have a pond.

We celebrated his birthday at his school. I have to prepare party packs for the children. In fact, my children have been receiving party packs all year round. Most party packs are food stuff which is not very healthy (lots of coloring). I decided to get some party toys, whistles, hats, balloons and fun stuff for the children. I also included raisins packs and small Mentos. Emily helps me to pack some of them. She does real cute things with them too.

I took ½ day leave to join in the celebration today while my hubby took photograph of the birthday event. He will do up a story slides later for my blog. It was really funny, when we enter the school compound, the children saw me carrying the cake and started singing “Happy Birthday To Timothy”. They were so eager to see the cake. Teachers were having difficulty controlling them. As it was school holidays, some teachers took leave.

After the song, candle blowing, cake cutting and eating, Timothy distributed the party packs. He looked blur at school but tonight I am sure he will tell me stories.

      Happy Birthday Timothy!!

    • The View Buffet Lunch

      March 7, 2007

My department has a mini celebration and we had a scrumptious meal at Equatorial TheView. It has a view of the BJ Golf Course and part of Penang. We had limited choice in Penang for Lunch Buffet, not as many as KL. We also need to choose somewhere nearby. The meal, no words can express. You have to see it yourself. I love Oysters, look at those oysters on the bar. Someone joked that we have to calculate how many oysters we consume to breakeven the cost of the meal. The buffet had different salads, soup, different seafood, smoked salmon, lots of delicious dessert. Then there is the main course. After the meal, it was so difficult to concentrate with my work. Fortunately time flies through and it was 5:30pm.
