      January 7, 2013

i-City located in Shah Alam, about 30 minutes drive from town. I heard so much about it and wanted to go many times but failed to do so. Finally I took the kids there. I expected a mall to be there but no shopping places. There were also not many food places to dine, only KFC and old Town White Coffee.

The main attractions were the lights and Snowland. My kids love the Snowland but we were not prepared. If you are going to Snowland, make sure you have long pants, shoes that cover the feet and a face mask. I lost count of how many air conditional blowers in there, the cold air just make your face freeze!

They were in short pants and slippers, see how prepared we were. I had to loan boots for RM10 each. Winter jackets were given free. The slides in there were pretty cool. One lady slide down and lost her shoes in the pile of snow. She was jumping up and down because it is not fun to step on ice. The staff managed to dig out her shoes for her.

After Snowland, the weather turned bad and started to rain. We sat there waiting for the rain to stop. While waiting, we played Temple Run on the iPhone. Finally the rain stop, we headed to the tree of lights were and sat the cable train around the park. It was really pretty!

Sad to say, the rain came again. Finally we gave up and headed home. Maybe next time we will bring daddy along.

      Enjoy the pictures…

    • Tim Baptism

      December 30, 2012

Tim asked for water baptism as he wanted to obey the Lord’s command. Believed and be baptized. He has believed in the Lord Jesus for a long time and he told us that he is ready to take the next step of obedience.

Today mark the day of his water baptism. Great day to remember! Praise the Lord for accepting him into His Kingdom.

      Titus 3:3-8

”At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.”

    • I must applause Mattel Monster High team for this creative set. I believed it is the best engineered dolls I ever seen. With this Create-A-Monster Starter Set, basically you can create your doll with all the given body parts. You can mix and match. It is very easy to put on and take off!

Emily likes this set very much as she can create her own kind of doll. You can purchase separate sets to mix and match. They even have a couple of sets for boys.

Emily and I were looking at which dolls we like the best. She and I like the one with the mermaid tail.

Stay tune for a chance to win a set of this on the upcoming post. LAST CHANCE!

      Dawn Says:
I’m a real nerd. Complete with the black-rimmed glasses and all. But underneath all that, I’m highly packed with knowledge. For me, that’s kind of a fashion. I may not talk much, but you’d wish that my mind would stop thinking so loudly. I hunger for knowledge and my mind is always swarming with ideas, some of them can be considered insane…

Just kidding. I may look superior, but fret not because I am actually fangtastically friendly. So I must say that Ghoulia Yelps bears the most accurate impression of my fashion sense.

      Nory Agnes Says:
      My killer style is:-
I’m a freaky, chic and fabulous fashionista with a fierce personality. I’m also absolutely humble and protective about my friends-If anybody tries to hurt them, they’ll be sure to be claw’d by me!

The one who has my personal sense of fashion is Clawdeen Wolf.

      Zara Kim Khoo Says:
My killer style is my BRIGHT METAL smile that catches people’s attention, and of course, my bigger-than-my-face specs ^^ I like cute little dresses, preferably in bright colours! My current fave dress is a sassy sunny yellow number that I think exhibits my personality perfectly and the character that reflects me the most is Frankie Stein 😀

    • Krabi HairDo

      December 11, 2012

My girl wanted to braid her hair and I told her that she can do it in Thailand. She was really excited. We went to Phuket and Krabi, both places have these special hair do. She missed the one in Phuket because she was tired after a long shopping day. However, I managed to find one shop that does it in Krabi.

At first the shop lady wanted to charge me 750 baht but I managed to bring it down to 500 baht. However it is still very expensive. Well since it is a hot day and the shop was air condition, I accepted the offer. It took an hour for the whole process.

By the way, with these tourist places, definitely things will not be cheap! At least Emily got many people to admire her hairdo!

    • Libra Cruise Day 1

      December 11, 2012

We went on a 3N Cruise, the second time. The first was on a Virgo Cruise. However this time on a smaller ship, much smaller. How was the experience? Seriously I need more time onboard. Definitely too many activities and spend too little time on the ship.

There are plenty of food and 4 meals a day! You cannot go hungry! There are 3 restaurants with free food, Four Seasons, Ocean Palace and Mariners International Buffet Restaurant on Deck 9. I felt Mariners and Four Seasons are the best 2. Mariners offer the best selection of food choices. Four Seasons served Western meals and Ocean Place served Chinese meals. 4 meals a day, breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper. You can pick only 1 restaurant per meal.

We boarded the ship early at 1 pm and went for lunch. Lunch was nothing to shout about but the BBQ sail away party had plenty to eat! One thing I didn’t like was, you need to pay for drinks except water. You will see many staff selling juices, beer or wine. They don’t just approach you once but many times and every day.

We went for a tour around the ship. I thought they will show us the different types of rooms but didn’t. The ship has a free gym but you need to wear gym clothes and shoe before you can use it. There are 2 swimming pools, one for children and the other for adult which is 7 feet deep. My kids love the Jacuzzi which is heated, you can even enjoy a night deep.

We were given a schedule of all the shows, activities and events. You can pick and choose what you want to do. We chose to just relax and enjoy the sail.

The pool party was filled with entertainment like singing, dancing and fun! I found the speaker was too loud and really hate it when the singer scream as she sings. Almost burst my ear drum. I was glad that it was over and I can have a peaceful dinner with a great view of the sea.

      Onboard Time: 1-3pm
      Phuket: 12pm – 12 am Day 2
      Krabi : 11am – 5pm Day 3
      Penang: 12am Day 4

    • Clawdeen is the daughter of the Werewolf. She is a gorgeous and loyal to her friends. She is a fierce fashionista. In fact I love her shoes or boots. She is Frankie Stein and Draculaura BFF. She is gorgeous with her purple outfit. She also has a pet name Crescent, a cute little kitten.

Emily found her profile from the Monster High Booklet:

      Clawdeen Doll By Mattel

I must say she is one classy doll! She also comes with an elegant bag, diary, brush and doll stand. Again I like her boots! She also has cool earrings. This fierce fashionista definitely knows how to rock an animal print. With touches of “gold” (to showcase her favorite color) and claw-accented accessories (to celebrate her heritage), this outfit is something to roar about.

Emily likes reading her diary and she kept telling me about her. The diary does have very interesting stories about her. The diary is a superb way of getting to know the doll more!

    • Banking Day

      November 26, 2012

      Date: Oct 25, 2012

Emily wanted to see how coins are counted in the bank. She pestered me for a long time to bring her to deposit all her money in the piggy bank. I was procrastinating but finally I did.

At first, the teller told me that I need to separate the coins first. She was reluctant to help me. After a few questions, she called her manager. Her manager asked another staff to help. The first teller told me that the machine cannot separate the coins. Actually it can but a very tedious process. Anyhow, she got all the coins counted.

Both my kids had a good banking experience. It is good to teach our kids how to save money from a young age.
