    • Zara’s mama gave me a hard tag. I dislike writing about people’s fault. Who has no fault/mistake, cast the first stone? This sounds familiar to some right.

I am sure there are plenty to write as we are not perfect and quiet easily find fault with others. I must say I have many more ways that piss my hubby off than he has, that pisses me off. Most of all, he has more good characters than bad.

To be fair to him, I will write 5 ways that I dislike about him and 5 ways he dislikes about me base on my assumptions.

      1. He doesn’t like to argue and keeps silent when I voiced out my unhappiness mostly about him. Sometimes no reaction can mean a deaf ear and cause me to steam up. Maybe because I am channeling the energy and no one receiving it. At least if he comforts me, I feel a little better.

      2. He dislikes me voicing out his bad point all the time.

      3. When I asked him to help me buy stuff, he always gets the wrong things even though detail instructions were given. Most of the time, he blame the person selling it. Imagine, once I asked him to buy Emily’s diapers and he got the wrong type when Emily has been using it for 2 years. Same go for milk powder.

      4. He dislikes me hanging around the shopping mall for too long, especially when it is very late in the evening.

      5. He wakes up early in the morning and makes lots of noise. His noise wakes up my son because my son and I are light sleepers. My son starts to makes noise and I cannot sleep.

      6. He dislikes me sleeping late and waking up late.

      7. He drives me crazy when he takes his sweet time (deli dali) when we are going out. He likes to either water the garden or oil the gate when we are rushing to go out. Talk about timing. Or he likes to get everyone into the car when I am not ready and wait for me in the car with the engine turn on. What a waste of petrol?

      8. He dislikes me getting angry with him especially when I am moody.

      9. He likes to talk to me when I am watching TV especially when the exciting part is coming on.

      10. He dislikes me watching too much TV or blogging. Oooh he is also glue to his photography forum, so I asked him whether he work for the forum? Does it pay you? He spiked me by asking me back, does my blog pays me. I said YES with confident. Hehehe…Daddy 0 Mummy 1. Sorry dear…you still the greatest and I love you. I remember my vows…for better for worse…

Now I shall pass this tag to

      GiddyTigers
Jess – She knew I am going to pass it to her even before I wrote this.
      My2LovelyRays
      ShoppingMum
      Julian – Let’s read a guy’s perspective on it.

You can write the original or follow my style to be fair to your spouse. :giggles:

    • Another great place to visit is the Singapore Night Safari. However the entrance fee is a bit costly, $27 for adult and $13 for children (3-12 years old). I heard that there is a promotion starting from 25th May – 30th June that all Malaysian can get 50% off or pay in Ringgit. Bumma, I just missed that.

I need to apologize to Earthtone because I ffk (stood her up) because my family wanted to visit the Night Safari. Again sorry Earthtone, you didn’t get to meet my children.

There is a shuttle bus from the hotel to the Night Safari, 6:50pm and 7:50pm. The hotel was under renovation, we didn’t know where to wait. The hotel staff told us to wait at the bus stop in front of Far East Shopping Center, which we did. As we were waiting, we saw the shuttle on the other side of the road. We thought we waited at the wrong place. We made a wrong move by crossing over the other side. Half an hour later, we saw the same bus on the other side. :wall: Actually it stopped at both side of the road. We stayed put and took the 7:50pm instead. At that time, Orchard Rd was having traffic congestion and it took us a long time to get out of there. Fortunately I got some food for my children to eat while waiting. The second shuttle that came was a mini van instead of the bus.

The Night Safari has plenty of eating place, so food is not a worry. It is very near the entrance too. I guess by now, you know that we were very hungry. As we were having dinner, there was some hot performance (pun intended) going on.

After that, we hopped on to the tram around the zoo. I am impressed as we could see all the animals that we passed. As compare to Taiping zoo, either the animal went to bed or it was blocked by the tree. My children were very excited as they were spelling the animals when they saw the sign, as they passed. The tram ride took about 40 minutes. We didn’t spend a long time there as the children were tired. It is not a value for money trip…sigh. If you are there, do try out some of the interesting walking trails like Fishing Cat, Forest Giants & Leopard Trail. The zoo is properly lighted.

Sorry, no pictures taken as we are not allowed to use our flash and disturb the animals. We are an animal friendly family. :giggles: More information here.

We had a choice between the Singapore Science Center and Jurong Bird Park. Both I heard were equally good. My hubby had 1 day off on Labor day, so we could only go to 1. After much discussion with him, we pick Singapore Science Center, at least it is in door and the children can learn and have fun with Science.

Singapore Science Center is located in Jurong East, you can take MRT to Jurong East Station on East West Line and transfer to bus no 335. We took a cab instead.

We made the right decision, there are so many things to play, learn and have fun. We started with the Omni-Theatre, a dome shape IMAX theater that gives a 4D effects movie. We learnt about the human body.

There is also a mini water park for children to have fun. If we knew about it, we would have bought an extra change of clothes. My children just love playing with water. The place is huge, we could only cover the Atrium, even that we didn’t finished all the science stations. We didn’t go to the Snow City.

Entrance fee is $6 for adult and $3 for child, for IMax theatre $10 for adult and $5 for child, per movie. We bought the special package $12.80 per adult and $6.40 for child. Food wise, there are not many places to eat, only 3. McDonalds, a buffet lunch or Rocks café. There were a crowd in all food places since it was a public holidays, even the buffet lunch have to make reservation. We ended up in McDonalds. I must say that the kid’s meals are healthy, not the nuggets but they serve milk drink and fresh apples, instead of oily fries and soft drinks.

The most interesting thing we saw was the Lightning demo or experiment, my hubby recorded it for you to watch. Don’t worry, there is no thunder but an explosion at the end.

More pictures on how fun and educated the day was.

    • I just got back from Singapore, touch down today at 6pm. I missed the Penang Asam Laksa. Sorry, this round, there are no professional pictures taken as my hubby didn’t carry his bazooka there. Just some A80 quality pictures.

Let’s talk about SIA, I must say they really give good service to mother with children. *Applaud to the stewardess serving SQ196* As I was traveling back from Singapore, I was alone with Tim and Emily. Hubby took the later flight. I get to board first with the first class or business class people because I am with 2 VIPs, my children. They put me with good seats too, not too far from the door. After I boarded the plane, smiling air stewardess came with gifts for the children, I didn’t need to ask. I requested my hubby to pre-order the children’s meal. They get their meals first. By the way, if you want to be kiasu and get your meal first, pre-order your meal when you purchase the tickets. Halfway through the flights, a stewardess came by asking me if I need a bio break, she can look after my children. Wow, what a service. I told her I am fine, as if Emily will let me out of her side.

It was a week of relaxation, we didn’t go to many places but enjoy the stay in our hotel room. Emily called it “New House”. She loves it so much, every time we go out, less than 1 hour, she requested us to go back to the “New House”. *faint*

My hubby booked the Singapore Grand Hyatt Hotel from my recommendation. It is right in the heart of Orchard Road. Of coz, the thing that kept my children happy in the room was the big plasma TV. There are 2 cartoon cable channels that supply 24×7 cartoons. Next best thing on their list is the bath tub. They will request endless round of bathing time because they love playing with water.

The housekeeper comes to make the room twice a day, providing fresh towels, toping up the toiletries and making our bed. Call me crazy, look at my collection…muhahahaha. 2 x 4 bottles each day.

However, the hotel doesn’t have a children pool. They have a swimming pool, but a little too dangerous for my children, so they just played by the pool. Next, I will share with you the places we went…stay tuned.

    • Tim’s Art

      April 28, 2007

I like to see what Timothy draws. He loves drawing and my house is filled with everywhere. He would ask me or papa to pin up his drawings. I must say that he is very creative. Everything he observe he pens it down on paper. Like this picture, do you know where he got the idea from?

I kept many of his drawings but soon I will be running out of space. He uses lots of paper and today papa limit him to 1 paper per day. He starts to complain. He has 1 bad habit, he dislikes drawing both side of the paper. We warned him about killing all the trees out there and I am not sure whether he understood. Emily make fun of him and ask him to recycle. :giggles:

    • Lightning & Thunder

      April 27, 2007

It was raining cats and dogs yesterday night. I was putting Emily to sleep and she asked me to stay with her. Usually, she sleeps by herself. I stayed with her till she slept.

Every time the lightning comes, Emily will shout lightning, same goes for thunder. I like looking out from the window when it is raining. She kepoh and looked with me. We spotted our neighbor’s car coming back. His house doesn’t have an electric gate. Emily was asking me whether uncle got umbrella. I think she was very worried that uncle has no umbrella.

The car stopped there for quite a while. Both of us were wondering what the uncle will do. After a minute or two, someone came out of the house with an umbrella and open the gate. Emily jumped up with excitement saying “Yeah uncle got umbrella”. Then we went back to chatting and sleep.

    • Today is a big day but most companies do not recognize it as an official public holiday. The police, customs and government officers are all on holiday. It caused havoc in Free Trade Zone in Penang. Why? The main custom gate was closed 80% of the traffic flowed in through there. Everyone just follow everyone blindly, thinking the gate will open. Sadly everyone had to make a big U-Turn out of there.

I left my house at 7:30am and reached work at 8:45am, missed a meeting too. Fortunately I have a project manager who is smarter than me. He waited at the gate. I guess some big shots complain and someone came to open it. He reached the office at 8am while I did a detour.

I must salute those who came to rescue the bad traffic, the one who did open the custom gate and the traffic police that directed the traffic.

    • Hall Of Fame & Tiredness

      April 26, 2007

IAmShoppingMum spotted me on the Hall of Fame in PPP. I didn’t realize it. I was very tired because this week I was so busy running around managing 4 projects. My left eye is twitching and feeling dizzy when I get up, it may be due to lack of sleep. Imagine my morning and night slots are all fully booked with meetings. My manager cannot even book an hour to do 1-1 with me

Opps, back to the topic, I thought of reading some blogs for relaxation. However my itchy hand clicked onto PPP. I saw some good priced opps and I took it. Most of it was 100 words, so not really that hard. Suddenly IAmShoppingMum told me I am in the list of top earners for the day. I am like WHAT? I wasn’t sure it was me because you know my name is so common. I asked her how to find out my ID. Anyway I updated my avatar and tada….

      This is good for remembrance.

Today I went to do my half yearly follow up with my doctor. I must say every time I see him, I feel refresh. I asked him any tips to gain weight. He jokingly said “Eat Full and go to bed” or “take oil” in hokkien. I looked at him point blank. After that he told me to eat snacks in between meals. He asked me to think positive and as long as I am healthy, no need to gain weight. He said I looked fine. My mum thinks otherwise.

    • Little Teachers

      April 25, 2007

I am not sure whether you have little correctors at home. Children of this generation are very observant. My 2 little ones often correct my hubby and I. Be it language or things we do, they observe our mistake and correct it. Here are some:

Tim: Mummy, this is slippers, not shoe

Em: Emily is honey, not darling.

Tim: Mummy, you didn’t say Thank you Papa.

Em: Emily is E, not I (*trying to correct her on I and You*)

Tim: This is piggy bank, not piggy.

Em: No ah, Emily cough cough cannot eat rice.

Tim: Off the light, not close the light.

These are the few I can remember.

    • Yellow Man

      April 25, 2007

It’s is not Digi Yellow Man, but little yellow man running around Queensbay mall. I got my children a yellow raincoat jackets. Both of them wanted yellow, not sure why. It is better this way to avoid fighting. They wore it out of the shop and didn’t want to take it out. They certainly look cute in it.

If they are really the Digi Yellow man, I am sure everyone gets signal in Queensbay mall. :giggles:
