School Shoes Days Are Not Over
July 2, 200816 Comments

I thought my days of washing school shoes are over and I am so dead wrong. Yes, since my children started schooling, the washing of school shoes begun. At least until they can do it on their own.
My hubby and I have different ways of washing school shoes. Let me hear it from you how do you do it?
1. Do you soak the school shoes overnight before you wash it?
a. Yes
b. No, I washed it immediately2. Do you immediately apply shoe white on the school shoe when it is wet?
a. Yes
b. No, I wait for it to drySchool shoes have brought back lots of school days memory. My school is known for the strict rules and our shoes have to be white every day. Here are some of the things I do to keep it white.
I would take the black board duster and dust it on my shoe to keep it white. One silly friend of mine forgot to check the duster and her shoes were multi color when she dusted it on her shoe. :wall:
I would take a white chalk and start working on the dirty area.
If I am at home, I will paint the white shoe polish on top of it. When it comes to washing, the pail of water is all white.
The last trick is to hang around the toilet or library until the prefect finished checking.

Mess Up Mornings
June 29, 20086 CommentsI am not a morning person and I love to stay up late. My hubby is the opposite so I gave him the honored to prepare Tim & Em to school in the morning. I will squeeze out every minute of sleep I can get in the morning.
Last week, my hubby was away to Singapore for training. There goes my morning and here is what it is like.
9:30pm Lights out for the children.
10:30pm Lights out for me. I don’t usually sleep so early, sometimes I can sleep @ 3am.7:15am Alarm Rings
7:20am Washed Up & boiled water7:30am Children wake up. Hype them up a bit so that they start off the morning with laughter. They washed up & changed. They do not give me much problem.
7:40am Go downstairs for milk and breakfast.
8:00am Ready for school. That is pretty much my mornings and I am glad that I can return back to “sleep in”. Guess what I asked my hubby to buy for me in Singapore. Nothing is cheap in Singapore except for electronic stuff. Here is what he got for me. What an irony, I do need batteries to charge up for holding the fort alone…hehehehe.

By the way, these Sanyo Eneloop batteries are very good rechargeable batteries and can last very long. Most of the rechargeable batteries will lose its power if it is not in use for a while. The rate of Eneloop rechargeable batteries losing power is very low so you do not need to charge them all the time. It will save a lot of energy. It is the number 1 selling batteries in Japan. If you want to save the environment switched to use this. This is not a paid post.

Mischievous My Middle Name
June 24, 200814 CommentsMy mother relayed this incident about my children to me. I was in the living hall watching TV while my children were upstairs playing with por por. I told my mother not to feed them with too much junk food. I was afraid they may get sick and would not be able to enjoy the vacation.
My mother took out a box of chocolate and asked them to take one. That’s what por por do behind my back.
Tim: Mummy said cannot have chocolate.
Emily took the chocolate and took a bite quickly.
Tim: Emily, you better tell mummy you ate the choc.
Emily ignored him and finished the choc. She felt satisfied. Tim didn’t have any but insisted Emily to tell me that she had the chocolate.
Emily came to me but didn’t tell me about the chocolate. Later Tim came down.
Tim: Did Emily tell you anything?
Mummy: What is Emily suppose to tell me?
I can see Timothy wanted to protect her sister and at the same time wanted the sister to be honest. However Emily pretended nothing happen.

Knick Knacks
June 14, 20089 Comments

I got this for myself on my birthday. I love shopping at knick knacks gift shop. The moment I saw the picture frame, I fell in love with it. The branch is made out of steel where the apple frames are magnetic. I like the black branch but that comes with heart shape frames. I like the apple frames better. It costs only about RM12.
I went home and printed Tim & Emily photos with my Canon Printer that can print photo quality pictures. Cut it in apple shape and wah lah…a nice office deco. Not only that, I can stare at my children‘s picture every day when I am work. They give me the joy and clear my stress.
By the way, the picture above is created using Office 2007. Recently I just upgraded it and I really like the appearance of the Outlook 07 and the features of PowerPoint 07 which can produce professional presentation slides. It has a nice user interface. Only setback, Microsoft changed the user interface concept which I have to relearn. I have a guru sitting behind me who can help me. :giggles:

Flashbacks on Birthdays
June 11, 200819 CommentsLet me reveal what Emily wants on her cake. Here ya go:

I must give it to Eden cake house again who can draw exactly what was given to them. Bravo. I always admire people who can make great designs with cakes. It takes great skills to do that which I do not have patience for.
I would like to capture all the birthday cakes that my children have since 1 year old.

Long Day
June 9, 20087 CommentsIt has been a long day because I drove from Ipoh to Penang. Hubby covered KL to Ipoh. It was a relaxing drive because not many cars on the road. Not many irritating tailgating car that said move out of the way!
Where did I go? I went back hometown so that my parents can have fun with my children. Showering & pampering them, that’s what grandparents do. I shall not take that away from them. For me, I went home for my mom’s cooking. Her soups are the best. In Hokkien, it is “ho liao!” Well, we Cantonese loves to drink soup and eat toong sui (aka soup dessert), which is much lacking in the Hokkien world.
Anyway, here is a picture where my children had fun and it is free. Anyone recognized where this is? If you don’t, ask your children. :giggles:
Yeap, it is the Ikea Free Indoor Playground which needs to Q.

Flowers Finally
June 5, 200813 Comments

Hubby got me flowers. How sweet of him. Like many other moms, we said that flowers are waste of money. However it feels great to receive a bouquet once in a blue moon. He didn’t just get me flowers but got Emily a bouquet too. Emily was pretty happy and excited. Maybe it is her first bouquet of flowers. She kept thanking her daddy.
Peculiarly, she said that flowers are for gals only. Now how did she learn that, I have no clue.
Emily changed her mind about the digital camera which saves me RM200. She couldn’t decide what she wanted. I decided it for her and here is what she got. Pst Pst…it cost only 7% of the digital camera. Sometimes children do not need expensive toys to enjoy themselves. Simplicity can really makes them happy.

Thanks Jeriel & Chanel for the books.
